As a Senior Software Engineer – AI & Platform Systems, you will design, build, and deploy intelligent, data-driven web platforms that integrate modern AI capabilities into scalable, maintainable solutions. You will operate as a senior technical contributor, owning solution architecture at the project level while collaborating closely with architects, product leaders, and cross-capability teams.
You will help translate AI strategy into working systems—supporting experimentation, production deployment, and ongoing optimization—while maintaining high engineering standards and mentoring peers.
Responsibilities
Proven experience delivering production-grade web applications in small, cross-functional teams (agency or consultancy experience preferred
Strong experience with Java, .NET/C#, or Python including: o Web services (RESTful APIs) | o Server-side frameworks (JSP, ASP.NET, or equivalents)
Deployment and maintenance in server and cloud environments
Solid understanding of modern AI-enabled architectures, including: o Consuming Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI APIs including MCP
Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) concepts and vector search integration o Prompt-based interaction and tool-using AI workflows.
Experience integrating relational databases and designing data schemas to support web and AI-driven solutions
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and advanced JavaScript, including DOM manipulation, Ajax, and modern JS patterns
Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS) and digital platforms | Proficiency in XML / JSON and their role in distributed systems
Solid understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and MVC architectures | Experience with cloud-based deployment (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred)
Working knowledge of web server and application server administration (Apache, Tomcat, IIS, Node, etc.)
Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational data models
Experience with testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and test-driven development
Familiarity with web security practices, including SSL, authentication, and authorization | Experience building accessible, standards-compliant web applications
Strong understanding of the current state of AI models, tools, Retrieval Augmented Generation, and Django/python
Nice to have: Experience with Python-based services supporting AI or data pipelines | Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, AI agents, or orchestration frameworks | Familiarity with vector databases and embeddings | Experience working alongside data science or ML teams | Exposure to AI governance concepts such as bias awareness, explainability, or human-in-the-loop systems | Comfort using generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) for development, ideation, or research.
